Uncertainty Analysis
In our modeling effort, we consider all equi-probable alternatives to generate high and low cases of the models as well as base case. Identification and quantification of uncertainty on each and every parameter is investigated to determine their impact on volumetric and dynamic properties of reservoir.
The nature of the stochastic modeling and multiple realizations of the same input parameter is an attempt to explore one part in entire space of uncertainty. Multiple realization of porosity models will be generated and analyzed in terms of Average Porosity / Net Pore Volume (NPV) within the oil pool and whole reservoir. Since permeability is directly related with flow behavior, multiple realizations will be ranked by streamline simulation.
In addition to generating multiple stochastic realizations to mitigate uncertainty a deterministic method can be applied to generate other probabilistic cases. The result of blind testes indicates variation between prediction and actual data. Such variation can be used to create multiplier to use as uncertainty factor. This factor can be applied at a distance from the well control point to generate different cases.
